A Bit About Me
Hi, I’m Jaynie, an Associate Therapist at Embody Your Light. Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, my personal and professional journey has been deeply shaped by resilience, healing, and growth. While completing my Master’s of Social Work degree, I navigated profound experiences of loss, grief, and trauma, which have greatly influenced the compassion and understanding I bring into my work today.
I began my career working with children and families in foster and adoptive care, supporting those who have experienced complex trauma. I have provided therapy in a variety of settings — including equine-assisted therapy, in-home services, and traditional office environments — always with a focus on delivering ethical, evidence-based care.
I then embraced a new adventure by moving to a different state, starting fresh, and expanding my personal and professional horizons. I consider myself a lifelong learner, with life’s experiences offering me deeper connections and insights than any classroom could provide.
Outside of my work, I’m an avid nature lover and adventure seeker. I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, yoga, riding my motorcycle, and spending time with my fur babies and family. I am grateful for the many journeys — both personal and professional — that have shaped who I am today, and I am passionate about walking alongside others as they heal, grow, and embody their true selves.
My Practice Specialities
Mental Health Therapy
Equine Therapy
As a Mental Health practitioner, I offer a supportive space where healing isn’t just about coping, but about understanding and re-designing your narrative and identity. I guide clients through trauma, relationship challenges, anxiety, and life transitions using a blend of talk therapy, somatic work, and nature-based practices. I provide and hold a safe space for you to find, be, and learn to appreciate/ love your true self.
This therapeutic approach involves guided interaction with horses and supports emotional, mental, and even physical healing. Horses naturally regulate to calm, centered environments, which promotes relaxation. As mirrors for human emotion, they provide immediate and nonjudgmental feedback that creates a positive and safe container to recognize and process your own feelings.
