A Bit About Me

You may know me as a therapist, but I want to share the story of what led me to becoming a therapist.

In 2018, I started my sophomore year of college. I was honestly set to have one of the best school years, if not the best year. However, that quickly ended atter being taken to the ER after a week of not feeling well. At the ER, I had been diagnosed with a blood clot in my brain. I spent 5 days in the ICU trying to get the clot somewhat dissolved and many more days in the hospital recovering. During that time, the ICU social worker became a lifeline - helping me navigate decisions, easing the weight of a life-changing diagnosis and simply sitting with me in moments of grief. That experience showed me how powerful it is to have someone truly listen without judgement and it planted the seed for the career I have today.

As I regained my health, went to many doctor appointments, ER visits and a few more hospitalizations that year - I was finally on a good road to recovery. That's when I returned to my school journey and decided to start pursing a social work degree.

By 2022, I received my Bachelor's in Social Work and I was an intern helping college students with disabilities receive accommodations to support their pursuit of higher education. Then, by 2024, I received my Master's in Social Work while I was an intern doing crisis social work for youth and adults.

Even now, sometimes I wonder, "Why did that medical emergency happen to me?" I have no doubt that without those experiences - and without meeting the most compassionate social worker who walked beside me - I wouldn't be here today able to walk alongside you through some of your most challenging times.

I'm passionate about supporting people as they navigate life's ups and downs. I love watching clients grow into themselves, uncover their strengths and being to see new possibilities for their lives. For me, therapy is less about "fixing". It's more about discovering - discovering resilience, meaning and a gentler way of relating to yourself.
