Course Description
3 Hour In-Person
An introduction course, for licensed mental health professionals, to the foundational principles of somatic therapy and how to integrate body-based techniques into clinical practice.
Why Somatic Therapy
This therapeutic approach emphasizes the mind-body connection and supports trauma-informed care by engaging the nervous system through movement, breath, sensation awareness, & regulation tools.
Relevance to Practice
Somatic interventions can deepen therapeutic outcomes by helping clients regulate emotions, build internal awareness, and release stored trauma. This course provides clinicians with practical, embodied tools they can immediately use in sessions to support healing and nervous system balance.
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
